Our passion for pets drives our business

Published: 10/2015

The people at Pedigree Wholesale really do love their animals.  So much so, that four of their new Lorries have now been named with images of four of their beloved pets all over the front cabs.  MD Steve Brown said “Pets are at the heart of our business.  We just wanted to show everyone in the trade who our pets are and that they are an essential part of our lives.”

One has been branded with Cooper (MD Steve Brown’s cocker spaniel), another with Digby (Group Operations Manager Darren Willets cross breed), one with Ollie (long-standing Driver Dean’s dachshund) and the final lorry with Willow (company founder Terry Brown’s golden retriever).  As the company continues to invest in new vehicles over the next few years, more and more employee’s pets will adorn the Pedigree fleet.

However, there is a serious business case for introducing these new trucks.  The four new Mercedes Atego vehicles are much more fuel efficient, more environmentally friendly and are cheaper to run.  An increase in MPG of over 40% will save Pedigree thousands of pounds each year.  It also demonstrates Pedigree’s ongoing commitment to provide independent pet retailers with the best possible service.
